Details: Hello, up for sale is my 2002 Infiniti I35 Sport. I am a technician and the second owner of the car, which has 155,600 miles as of this posting. First, the details:Mechanically, the engine and transmission are great. The engine is smooth and is as quiet as it should be, and the transmission shifts surely and smoothly. The front suspension is worn, however; the struts are original and as such, they are loud over bumps and the ride is not as firm as it should be. That said, the car rides well albeit with a sort of ´crashiness´ over busy roads due to the worn front struts. The car still handles and rides pretty well - the worn suspension has not bothered me. The engine is running Mobil 1 Synthetic High Mileage 10W-40 oil, changed at 4,000-mile intervals, and the transmission is running Mobil 1 Synthetic fluid as well. The tires are soon to be due for replacement. As a mechanic, I have four run-flat Dunlop tires on the side that came off of a newer Lexus. They still have about 25% life left and will come with the car.Anyway, this I35 has the rare Sport package, which includes better-handling suspension, a rear spoiler, and special 17-inch aluminum wheels with summer tires. It also has the Cold Weather package which includes a heated steering wheel, front AND rear two-stage heated seats, and a rear window power sunshade. Factory equipment includes a premium Bose sound system with a 6-disc in-dash CD changer and cassette player, automatic climate control, cruise control, two-person memory power driver seat, power passenger seat, and sunroof. The car has a 3.5L V6 with a 4-speed automatic transmission and is rated at 19 city/25 highway MPG - I average 27 mixed. This past January, I installed a new Interstate battery, new alternator and belt, flushed out the power steering fluid, installed new front brake calipers with new pads and rotors for the front and rear, and changed the two rear oxygen sensors. Car passed inspection (pictures below are prior to passing) but now the check engine light is on. The code is P1456 - ´very small EVAP leak´. The cause is likely the gas cap which I have yet to replace as it does not affect performance of the car.On the outside, the car is in overall good shape. It is Brilliant Silver and the paint itself is in excellent condition without scratches, though the body itself has a couple of small dents that were present when I bought the car. There´s a mysterious dent on the fuel door whose origin I have no idea about.. but it was there when I got the car. The worst blemish is on the front right fender - I was involved in a hit and run a few weeks ago (don´t worry, not my fault) so there´s a dent there and a few paint scrapes that will likely buff out. The dent can probably be bumped out but I haven´t gotten around to it.. it actually doesn´t bother me much. In general, the car looks great. The paint is beautiful and actually hides its own blemishes.The interior overall is pretty nice. The previous owner was an absolute slob - if you see this car as it is now, I would say you´d have no right to call its interior dirty. The leather is clean with no cracks or tears, showing less-than-average signs of creasing as all automotive leather is known for. The rear passenger seat has marks from a child´s car seat (not mine). The carpeting is clean with minimal stains. Everything on the inside of the car works as it should.The price is starting at $5,000 but is slightly negotiable. Book value is $5,570. This is my daily driver and I am quite busy with school and work. The reason I´m selling: cost. I love the car but as a young driver, insurance costs are through the roof.
